The Neousys PCIe-USB381F is an industrial-grade 8-port USB 3.1 (Gen1) frame grabber host adapter card for machine vision applications. With its x4 PCI Express (Gen2) interface and four Fresco FL1100SX xHCI controllers, the PCIe-USB381F enables a sustained data transfer rate of 400 MB/s on each port when four USB 3 cameras are operated simultaneously. When eight cameras are connected, the card offers a total bandwidth of 1600 MB/s.
All eight USB ports of the PCIe-USB381F are located on the front panel for easy access to connect devices. Each port on the card provides regulated standard 5V output with a power of 900 mA for powering USB 3 cameras or a user-configurable output with a power of 1800 mA for connected devices that require more power, configured via onboard circuits. The card also supports software-programmable power on/off control for individual ports, allowing cameras and other devices to be reset after an error or failure.
With a sustained data throughput of 400 MB/s, the card offers sufficient performance for the bandwidth requirements of most commercially available industrial USB 3 cameras. With its reliable 5 VDC output for power supply and the ability to control power on/off for individual ports, the PCIe-USB381F is suitable for various vision applications in areas such as machine vision, manufacturing automation, and medical imaging.
