Neousys POC-600 Serie – Leistungsstarke Embedded-Systeme für industrielle Anwendungen der nächsten Generation

With the POC-600 Series , Neousys expands its portfolio of compact, fanless embedded computers with a powerful platform specifically developed for modern industrial applications. The series positions itself above the proven POC-400 Series and is aimed at users who require more computing power, extended interfaces, and greater flexibility — without sacrificing a compact, robust, and energy-efficient design.

At the core of the POC-600 Series are powerful current-generation Intel® Coreâ„¢ Processors, which compared to the POC-400 Series offer a significant performance increase. While the POC-400 Series is primarily designed for classic control, visualization, and IoT tasks, the POC-600 Series also addresses more compute-intensive applications such as demanding automation processes, data-intensive edge computing scenarios, or industrial image processing. The higher CPU performance enables more stable processing of parallel processes and creates additional reserves for future software requirements.

Another key difference from the POC-400 Series lies in the memory and system architecture. The POC-600 systems support larger memory configurations, providing a better foundation for more complex applications and multitasking scenarios. Especially in industrial environments where multiple applications run simultaneously on a single system, this represents a significant advantage.

POC-600
  • Intel® Atom® x7425E CPU (12W)
  • Up to 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM
  • 1x M.2 2280 SATA interface
  • 3x 2.5 GbE ports, optionally 2x with PoE+
  • 2x HDMI, 4x USB 3.2, 2x serial interfaces
  • DIN rail or wall mounting
  • 8 - 35V wide range input
  • Extremely compact dimensions
  • Fanless operation at -25 to 70°C

In terms of connectivity, the evolution is clearly visible. The POC-600 Series features a larger number of modern interfaces, including fast USB ports, multiple Ethernet connections, and serial interfaces for integrating classic industrial peripherals. In comparison, the POC-400 Series is deliberately leaner and focuses on basic I/O requirements. With the POC-600 Series , users gain significantly more flexibility in system integration and when connecting external devices.

Like all systems in the POC family, the POC-600 Series is consistently designed for fanless operation. The robust metal enclosure ensures efficient passive heat dissipation and enables reliable deployment in harsh industrial environments. An extended operating temperature range and high vibration and shock resistance ensure stable continuous operation — a characteristic that already distinguished the POC-400 Series, but is combined with additional performance reserves in the POC-600 Series.

Special attention was paid during the development of the POC-600 Series to future-proofing and scalability. Through modern processor platforms, extended interfaces, and flexible configuration options, the series is suitable both for current projects and long-term planned industrial applications. Thus, the POC-600 Series bridges the gap between compact entry-level platforms like the POC-400 Series and more powerful systems of higher classes.

In direct comparison, the POC-400 Series can be classified as a robust and cost-effective solution for basic industrial tasks, while the POC-600 Series has been specifically developed for more demanding applications where higher computing power, more interfaces, and greater system reserves are required. Both series share the same industrial DNA from Neousys — but differ clearly in their performance and deployment class.

FAQ – Neousys POC-600 Series

Compact power for industry: Here you will find answers about the new POC-600 Series, which offers maximum efficiency in the smallest footprint.

Which processors are used in the POC-600 Series?
The POC-600 Series uses the latest Intel® Core™ i3-N305 or Atom® x7000E processors (formerly Alder Lake-N). These offer up to 8 cores and significantly improved CPU and graphics performance at very low power consumption, making them ideal for fanless edge applications.
How compact is the POC-600 Series enclosure?
With dimensions of only approximately 64 x 116 x 176 mm, the POC-600 Series is among the smallest fully-featured industrial PCs on the market. It can be easily mounted in extremely tight control cabinets or directly on machines where conventional PCs would not fit.
Which interfaces does the POC-600 offer despite its size?
Despite its ultra-compact format, the system offers up to four 2.5G Ethernet ports (optionally with PoE+), multiple USB 3.2 Gen2 connections, and dual display support via DisplayPort. The proven MezIO® interface is also integrated, allowing the system to be flexibly expanded with additional I/Os or storage options.
Is the system suitable for deployment in harsh environments?
Yes, like all Neousys POC models, the series is completely fanless and designed for a wide temperature range from -25°C to +70°C. The robust aluminum chassis reliably protects components against shocks and vibrations according to industrial standards.
What advantages does 2.5G Ethernet offer?
With 2.5G Ethernet, the POC-600 Series offers 2.5 times the bandwidth of conventional Gigabit networks over existing CAT5e/6 cables. This is particularly advantageous for data-intensive applications such as machine vision with high-resolution cameras or fast data gateways.
