The NRU-51V series is a rugged Jetson Orin™ NX/Xavier™ NX computer designed for GMSL2 cameras, serving as a sensor hub or perception unit for driver assistance systems, teleoperation, autonomous mobile robots, and autonomous vehicles.
GMSL2 vehicle cameras enhance the NRU-51V+ with greater visibility. Advanced features come into play here, such as IP67 water resistance, high dynamic range (120dB HDR), automatic white balance (AWB), and LED flicker mitigation (LFM). The NRU-51V+ captures high-quality images with minimal latency, regardless of lighting conditions, from bright sunny days to pitch-black nights. Additionally, the unique synchronization mechanism allows simultaneous capture from four GMSL2 cameras across channels within microseconds. The reception of the GPS PPS signal enables alignment of image data with LIDAR or synchronization with cameras from other systems.
Thanks to its high efficiency, the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin NX™ SOM in the NRU-51V delivers 100 TOPS inference performance in its 25W power package. Users can transmit raw camera images for perception processing to another GPU server via the integrated 10GBASE-T Ethernet or leverage its impressive TOPS for real-time object or ROI detection. For teleoperation applications, users benefit from a hardware H.264/265 video codec, enabling real-time encoding of video streams from four GMSL2 cameras. Live video is then transmitted via 5G communication with minimal latency to a driver at a remote location.
The combination of GMSL2 interface and Jetson Orin™ NX makes the NRU-51V+ far more than just a simple edge AI computer. With enhanced visibility from vehicle cameras and I/O interfaces including 10GbE, CAN 2.0, and M.2 for 5G broadband, the NRU-51V+ plays a central role on a mobile platform, such as a sensor hub for driver assistance systems, a perception unit for AGV/AMR, or the teleoperation control for off-road vehicles.
