The NRU-110V is a rugged industrial PC with a Jetson AGX Xavier™ computer, supporting GMSL cameras, making it particularly suitable as a camera sensor hub for autonomous vehicles, as a control unit for autonomous mobile robots (AMR), or as a video transcoding unit for remote control of unmanned ground and land vehicles. This series is a turnkey solution with onboard GMSL deserializers for eight synchronized GMSL vehicle camera inputs and a pre-installed Board Support Package (BSP) with drivers for selected cameras.
GMSL support makes the NRU-110V series powerful vision units that can fully utilize the advantages of vehicle cameras. Thanks to features such as waterproof design, High Dynamic Range (>120 dB HDR), automatic white balance (AWB), and LED flicker mitigation (LFM), the system provides optimal quality image data regardless of lighting conditions—whether in cloudy or bright sunlight, or complete darkness. Another feature of the NRU-110V platform is the unique synchronization mechanism, which allows simultaneous image capture from 8 GMSL cameras with a channel-to-channel time shift in the microsecond range. Additionally, the systems can process GPS-PPS signals to synchronize image data with other sensors, such as LIDAR modules or cameras from other systems.
The NRU-110V series also integrates additional I/O interfaces for data exchange with various sensors, such as those in autonomous machines. The series features a 10Gb Ethernet connection for streaming raw image data in real-time to another high-performance GPU computer for data recognition, as well as a CAN bus interface for onboard communication or integration of an inertial measurement unit (IMU) for geographic localization and orientation detection. Additionally, the NRU-110V offers an RS-232 interface, a dedicated GPS-PPS input for connecting an external GPS module, an M.2 NVMe slot for storage expansion, a Mini-PCIe slot for connectivity via Wi-Fi or 4G modules, and isolated DIO for general control functions.
With its support for eight GMSL vehicle cameras, significant TFLOPS performance for inference, multiple sensor interfaces, and a 10G Ethernet connection for data transmission, the NRU-110V is the ideal rugged edge AI computer for applications where both detection and planning are executed on the same platform. It is ideal for AI-based vision applications that require continuous interaction with the environment, such as UGV/AMR, ADAS, and intelligent V2X technologies.
