Returning waste electrical equipment and used batteries

“Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)”

and

“Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 September 2006 on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators”

regulate, inter alia, the handling of waste electrical equipment and used batteries. Each EC member country implements these directives into national laws. Please follow the national and local regulations, regarding used batteries and waste electrical equipment, of your country, resp. local authorities.

Companies are obliged to take back waste electrical and electronical equipment as well as waste batteries marketed in Germany. You may return waste electrical equipment and used batteries, including inserted or installed button cells you received from us to the address below or send them back by post with sufficient postage. OMTEC GmbH does not charge for returns.

You may also return waste electrical and electronic equipment and used batteries to local retailers or to municipal collection points. In many countries, legislation prohibits disposal in household waste or as commercial waste.
