That’s exactly what the RGS-8805GC is—a rugged HPC server powered by an AMD EPYC™ 7003 series “MILAN” CPU with up to 64 cores/128 threads, delivering unmatched computing power and 512 GB of memory capacity. The system's unique chassis design allows for highly efficient airflow for the CPU and other components, ensuring reliable operation between -25°C and 60°C for deployment in public spaces.
For the computing power required for advanced AI applications, the RGS-8805GC can accommodate a high-end NVIDIA® RTX A6000 or A4500 GPU, offering up to 38.7 TFLOPS of FP32 computing power and 309.7 TFLOPS of tensor performance. The chassis is designed to create a protected air tunnel, efficiently dissipating the heat generated by the RTX GPU. The RGS-8805GC offers a perfectly balanced ratio of CPU and GPU performance for modern AI applications such as autonomous driving, DL-based visual inspection, and intelligent video analytics.
For I/O connectivity, the RGS-8805GC has two 10G Ethernet ports for high-speed data transfer, both backward compatible with 5GBASE-T and 2.5GBASE-T, thus working with NBASE-T industrial cameras. Additionally, the device features four gigabit ports with PoE+ and four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports for connecting additional devices, as well as four easily swappable 2.5-inch HDD bays for data storage. Moreover, the RGS-8805 provides two x16 PCIe slots for installing additional I/O cards, such as frame grabber cards or GMSL capture cards. Last but not least, the RGS-8805GC is one of the few HPC servers that supports a wide input power range, accommodating diverse deployment requirements in various environments.
The RGS-8805GC helps overcome the challenges of deploying CPU/GPU servers on-site outdoors, where space may be limited, and operational temperature and power supply are often issues. A rugged HPC system that can be installed outside of climate-controlled rooms and operated in harsh environments opens up new possibilities for AI-based edge computing applications, such as modern telecom infrastructure, manufacturing automation, driver assistance systems, and V2X applications.
