The LTN-450 series is a constant current LED lighting controller with an overdrive function. The control of LED light with a constant current output provides precise regulation of light intensity in the mA range, creating stable illumination for machine vision applications.
The LTN-450 series features up to four LED control channels that can continuously supply up to 2A of current, with a total power budget of 180W. It also includes four isolated trigger inputs that can receive strobe signals from cameras or proximity sensors. Additionally, the LTN-450 supports a 10A overdrive output, allowing the LEDs to flash at up to ten times their normal brightness for a very short duration. This enables the LED lights to achieve peak performance of 500W, benefiting applications such as line scan imaging and high-speed image capture. The LTN-450 employs a patented MCU-based method for strict regulation of the strobe pulse width and overall duty cycle, protecting the LED lights from burning out.
The operating mode, output current, trigger source, trigger delay, and pulse width can be easily configured via the RS-232 or Ethernet interface. A simple GUI utility and a cross-platform driver API facilitate handling and control across various applications. The LTN-450 series offers a cost-effective solution for controlling LEDs where precise and stable lighting is essential.
