The Nuvo-8208GC from Neousys is the world's first dual-GPU platform developed for Vehicle PCs (Car-PC, Car computer). The graphics card slots are intended for two high-end NVIDIA® boards with 250 W power consumption each. They enable an enormous GPU performance of up to 28 TFLOPS (FP32 performance test) for applications in Autonomous driving, as well as for other GPU-accelerated applications with extremely high demands on computing power, e.g. Artificial intelligence (AI).
The recently developed power supply concept of the Neousys Nuvo-8208GC accepts input voltages in the range of 8 – 35 V and provides sufficient power for two 250-Watt GPUs. The built-in ignition control for delayed Switch-On/Off enables installation as a vehicle PC via the vehicles electrical board system.
The device only consumes about 120W without a graphics card and can therefore be operated perfectly with conventional power supplies in this form. For a 250W graphics card a power supply of 400W is required, for two graphics cards with 250W each a power supply with more than 700W is required.
The design of the Nuvo-8208GC follows the patented Neousys thermal design for heat dissipation, the damping clamps, which are also patented, and the innovative GPU mounting mechanism (patent is pending) supports the resistance against vibrations.
The Nuvo-8208GC is Neousys' answer to the steadily increasing demand for TeraFLOPS GPU platforms. Novel technical progress in energy supply, heat dissipation and mechanical damping facilitates the transfer of Artificial intelligence from research to industrial applications where reliability is important.
