Currently, Neousys is developing the Nuvo-2700DS with a view to audiovisual applications with 4 monitor connections (DisplayPort, each with 4K resolution). It will support the multi-display Eyefinity technology from AMD, which, for instance, allows to split video streams for displaying them on monitor walls. In this way, information or infotainment programs can be presented in large format, for example at airports, fairs or concerts.
Two mini PCIe slots are reserved for Edge AI modules. They implement Artificial Intelligence on small, portable computers at the place of application (unlike centralized computing clusters). Examples for Edge AI modules are the “Tensor Processing Units” (TPU) developed by Google. These application-specific chips accelerate machine learning processes by artificial neural networks (keyword: Deep learning). Purpose is the rapid processing of large data sets, particularly for real time applications.
Appropriate to Neousys philosophy, the Nuvo-2700DS has no fans and therefore is quiet, low-maintenance and suitable for harsh and dusty environments. The compact design enables an only 173 mm x 174 mm x 50 mm small housing. The shock and vibration-proved Nuvo-2700DS will be suitable – together with a power supply unit with an extended voltage range and ignition delay ("Ignition Control") – for vehicle applications (Car PC). The Nuvo-2700DS is going to keep firm Internet connection via connectable 4G/5G and WiFi antennas.
Last but not least, various I/O options make the Nuvo-2700DS a cost-effective variant to conventional, non-robust solutions.
