Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology enables two processing threads per physical core. Applications with many threads can perform more tasks in parallel and finish tasks earlier. Sleep (C-states) are used to save power when the processor is idle. C0 is the operating state, meaning that the CPU is performing useful tasks. C1 is the first idle state, C2 the second, etc., with more energy saving measures applied for higher numbers of C-state.Intel Advanced SpeedStep® Technology is an advanced functionality for the combination of high performance and lowest possible energy consumption required on mobile devices. Conventional Intel SpeedStep® Technology simultaneously switches voltage and frequency between high and low values depending on processor load. Advanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology builds on this architecture, using design strategies such as separation between voltage and frequency changes, clock partitioning and recovery.
